All applicants are encouraged to talk to a twopercent member about their practice in addition to providing a written proposal. Selection for Big! will be based on the quality of the artist’s application.

Selections will be announced in early May. An artist fee of $100 will apply – subject to running costs and grant applications. This fee covers rental of the space, advertising, electricity, alcohol licenses and running costs. No commission will apply to artist’s sales.

Currently TwoPercent is calling for proposals for Big! a survey show in June 2009 at Queen’s Theatre. The intention of Big! is to make a generational statement and to provide a framework for emerging artists to make the difficult transition to professional practice. As such, Big! will be advertised in national art publications. A professional catalogue will be published to accompany the exhibition.

TwoPercent is conducting a proposal process for Big!. The written proposal will consist of a completed application form (see page 2 of this document). An informal interview may be required in addition to written proposals.
